Taco Salad Bento

Woke up late this morning so I was tempted to just buy food. But the absence of cash in my wallet, and the desire to break-in yet another new bento had me putting together last night’s leftover salad fixings and a few munchies.

The top tier contains a small taco salad: lettuce, taco beef, chopped onions, cherry tomatoes, and grated cheese. I like slathering my taco salad with sour cream, hence the transparent container of sour cream on the side. One pitfall of having to rush is forgetting something vital…the crushed taco shells. ^_^;;>

The bottom tier has these Japanese green tea filled marshmallows, foil-wrapped Andes Creme de Menthe thins, a cup of Jellyace almond-lychee jelly, Nissin choco wafers, Hershey’s Mallow Blasts, and little marshmallow flowers to add color.

Here’s another picture of the bento assembled.

There’s actually a third compartment where you can keep your utensils in (provided they’re small). Here it has the freebie teaspoon I got when I bought the box, and the small plastic spoon that comes with the jelly. I daresay you can put food in it too, but it has to be small and thin I guess. I placed it next to a cologne bottle so you can gauge the size. Yep, it’s quite capacious, compared to my other green two-tier box. I got this particular bento from Daiso 88, it’s an 88 Peso store that sells Japanese products, so I guess it’s like a 100 yen store?
