Later on, we were served a trio of desserts, beginning with a Kasuy Tart, served ala mode. It wasn’t too sweet and very pleasantly nutty. I’m thinking they have a surfeit of cashews, what with the cashews in the tart and the cashew crust on the fish. Not that I mind.
There was also a Durian Cheesecake, an opportunity to enjoy durian without the funny smell. It was pretty good, especially with the raspberry coulis (?) under it.
The last thing I tried was the Banana Turtle Pie. I left it for last because even if it was chocolate, I’m not too hot for bananas. It was a pleasant revelation as I bit into it though. The chocolate part was light and creamy and perfectly complemented by the mashed banana. I don’t know how it compares to other banana-chocolate combinations since I usually stay away but this definitely made me vow to be more open-minded about bananas. (Sidenote: Heck, a couple of days later I went and bought a pint of Ben and Jerry’s Banana Split, just to find out if I’m starting to like bananas.)
Flavor? Fusion? Funky Faintings? It’s easy to tack on a meaning to this restaurant’s name. But one thing’s for sure, they stand by their food 100%. Chef Francis and film director Erik Matti, co-owner of F-word are all adamant about their food’s taste. No condiments on the table please, what comes out of the kitchen should be perfect. In short, no client revisions! If you don’t like their creative vision, please try a different restaurant.

Thankfully, F-word has a varied selection of dishes, from the safe to the eclectic so you can easily choose the dish that suits your taste. If you don’t like one dish, move on to the next one. Fine by me! Just hand me another plate of that Chicken Liver Ravioli and you won’t hear another peep from me.

I think it’s enjoying a nice buzz in the advertising community, yes? I think they even have ad community events there.
@Tony Lou
It’s in Legaspi Village, it’s a street parallel to Rada. Hnnnn…Are you familiar with Dela Rosa? Just walk down that street from Greenbelt 5 and you’re bound to hit Palanca since it ends at Dela Rosa. It’s either the second or third street down.
@Pinoy Cravings
Thank you so much! You looked really busy that evening so I wasn’t able to greet you as well, but thanks for having a hand in organizing the thing. It’s well appreciated.
