Krispy Kremes, our favorite evil doughnut, is gearing up for Father’s Day with a super special doughnut that’s sure to appeal to everyone—not just Dads!
Take a dense chocolate cake-style doughnut. Slather it with chocolate frosting and vanilla stripes. Then top it with roughly chopped fresh strawberries. What you get is supposed to be Dad’s Fave Doughnut, the Double Chocolate Strawberry Cake. How can you go wrong with chocolate and strawberries? Your dad’s sure to love this—provided that you don’t keep it for yourself.
It’s really yummy, plain or with coffee, though personally, I’d love it more if it had more strawberries. But then, I guess it’s perfectly understandable, considering how pricey fresh strawberries can get. Not sure if this will be a seasonal flavor, so I suggest you troop to your nearest Krispy Kreme store as soon as you can to sink your teeth into this. It’s going to be released on June 18, just in time for Father’s Day.
