Buffalo’s Wings and Things: Bring it on!

Things that come with levels always pose a challenge. Levels affixed on the spiciness of food? Bring it on! Or so I thought, when we first stumbled upon Buffalo’s Wings and Things, a small restaurant specializing in buffalo wings.

Buffalo Wings

Half-pound goodness

Buffalo’s Wings and Things offers fried chicken wings glazed with different sauces. There are 5 different levels of spicy wings. Rookie, New York’s Finest and Firehouse Classic with one to three stars respectively, and the killer Nuclear and Armageddon variants. The rookie to firehouse classic seem to share the same buttery, tangy buffalo wing sauce with varying degrees of heat. Each bite feels progressively hotter as the chili oils build up on your tongue. Finish off each bite with french fries or a bit of their dirty rice—rice topped with fresh salsa, and you can keep going.

I ate Armageddon. Like a boss.

The nuclear and armageddon variants are a different story. These extremely hot babies aren’t for the faint-hearted. They can easily turn the most alpha of males into sweaty sniveling crybabies. When we asked our server how hot Armageddon was compared to Nuclear (which we found extremely hot, but still bearable), she replied, “It’s still edible.” True enough, each bite was fire on the tongue. Crispy, yummy fire, but fire nevertheless.

Dirty Rice

Buffalo’s Wings and Things isn’t just about spicy food though. They have non-spicy wings too, like the Garlic Parmesan. Doused in butter, parmesan, garlic and parsley, this rich, savory, non-spicy chicken wing is tempting enough to sway the taste buds of even the most hardcore chili fans.

Dirty Fingers

Buffalo wings for lazy people

What of the things? Aside from the buffalo wings, BWNT also offers burgers, burritos and nachos, among others. Among the non-wing Things I like ordering are the Chicken Fingers with Honey Mustard Sauce and the Dirty Fingers, aka chicken fingers doused in the buffalo wing sauce of your choice. Perfect for days when you’re too lazy to pick the chicken meat from the wing bones. And yes, you can have them Armageddon-ized, too.

Chicken Fingers

Not spicy? Blasphemy!

Buffalo Wings and Things is a great place to sit back and unwind. Grab a half pound serving of their wings, order a jug of their vodka-laced orange juice and you’re set for the evening. Just be ready to breathe fire when dining with jokers whose idea of fun is slipping an armageddon wing with your rookies.

Find Buffalo’s Wings and Things at Food Street, Ortigas Home Depot; Aguirre Ave., BF Homes Paranaque; and Solaris One Building, De la Rosa St., Legaspi Village, Makati City.

I really love Buffalo Wings and I love spicy foods too. Hearing that each bite is like a fire makes me want to try it out! ^__^

Good thing they have a branch in Ortigas. I hope they expand more. A little to Manila would make me really happy. Lol.

I loooove BWnT! 😀 Their beef burrito is also verrry tasty. V and I usually go for half a pound of Nuclear wings, and then we split a beef burrito. 😀 Hehe, yummy. I wish they had a branch in Tomas Morato, though.

  5. Perfect pam-pulutan. =)
