Finally, we have a winner!

Taking home the bento set we’re giving away is karissa, who plans to use the set for her work lunches. I guess nothing beats home cooking in the middle of the working day, especially when it’s something home cooked by her mom. Congratulations karissa! Expect your bento set this week or next.

To everyone else who joined, thank you so much! It was pretty interesting going through the entries. Quite a few are interested in preparing lunches for their significant others, OR people they’re wooing to be their significant others *waves to Mike*. Others were moms who wanted to brighten up their school kiddies lunches. Stephanie wanted to do an inspired lunch that tied up the four seasons. Jesa wanted to pack chupacabra meat (!) while magnetic-rose wanted to stick Rafa Nadal in a box. (How she’ll manage THAT, I want to see.)

And to those who sent their congratulations for the site’s anniversary, my thanks as well. Crossing my fingers that there will be more anniversaries to come! I’d say more giveaways too, but I don’t have to cross my fingers for that because I KNOW for a fact that there are a couple in the pipeline. So, please come back for more. Who knows what you’ll stumble upon.

77 comments. That’s roughly the current number of entries in the Kitchen Cow Giveaway. Unfortunately, disaster struck, the site database got screwed up, causing kitchen cow to crash a couple of hours ago. Luck was with me and I was able to recover a large amount of data. Still, I wasn’t lucky enough to escape unscathed. My last back-up dates to before the last two posts so while I was able to reconstruct the last two posts, all the comments between then and now were lost. Including the contest comments.

That’s why I’m asking all of you guys, especially the contest entrants, if you can find it in your hearts to forgive me for wasting your time. I know it was tough trying to think up entries for the contest. I read a lot of the entries and some wowed me, some inspired me, while some had me rolling on the floor laughing. (I’m looking at you and your Rafa Nadal comment, magnetic-rose!)

Please, join again. For all those who posted before, even a short, “I posted before, count me in,” would suffice. You could answer again but if you’d rather not, I’ll take your word for it and count that as an entry.

Hey folks! Been plagued by hosting issues lately but I have managed to move the site successfully. Still tweaking some settings but it looks like things are going to be fine now. *crosses fingers* During this time, while I was reading all sorts of troubleshooting articles I couldn’t comprehend, pestering net-savvy friends for help, and headdesking from frustration, Kitchen Cow’s Third Anniversary actually came and went. My apologies to everyone! I’m sure you’ve been noticing performance issues on the site. Fact is, I’ve been having some hosting issues the past few weeks but rest assured, it’s being worked on.
